About
A Magelo-style item database and gear planner for the Project 1999 EverQuest server — browse items, build a character, watch your stat totals update, and share your builds.
Your data
The item database runs entirely in your browser. Beyond that, you decide what stays private and what gets shared:
- Characters you Save on this device — and your account key — are kept only in this browser. They never leave your device, but clearing your browser data will lose them, so back up your key (or save to your account) if you want to keep them.
- Characters you Save to your account are stored online and follow you across devices. They're public on your shareable page by default — anyone with the link can view them — but you can Hide one so only you can see it.
- Share links pack the whole build into the link itself. Nothing is stored online for these, and the link works for anyone, with no account needed.
Data source & accuracy
Item data is sourced from the Project 1999 Wiki (a community-maintained wiki) and read from its item pages. Because the wiki is hand-authored, expect occasional gaps or errors. A few fields are backfilled from the legacy EQEmu/PEQ data where the wiki comes up short.
Credits
Wermhat (Project 1999 Green) guided the project, but the work itself was done by Claude Opus — this site is an AI work product. Thanks to the Project 1999 Wiki community for the item data.
The 3D character models are rendered with Babylon.js from EverQuest model assets converted with eqsage and its sage-core library (MIT) by knervous — huge thanks for making EQ's assets workable in the browser.

Weapons look right from every angle, now with their magical particle effects.
- ImprovedSlot picker ranks likely upgrades first.
- NewFind an item across all your characters: the My Characters page has a search box that tells you which character has a given item and exactly where it sits — worn, in a bag, or in the bank.
- NewYour bank now has a home: the inventory panel has Inventory and Bank tabs, and importing an inventory export fills both. A search box above them finds any item across your worn gear, inventory, and bank as you type.
- FixedItem tooltips no longer show raw code in the effect line — a few items (Celestial Fists, Innoruuk's Curse, BladeStorm) showed HTML markup instead of the spell name, and now read correctly.
- ImprovedThe wishlist is now "Quick Compare": add any item to see, at a glance, how it would change your stats versus your equipped gear. Same feature, clearer name.
- ImprovedThe 3D character model renders much sharper on high-resolution (Retina) displays — it was being drawn at half resolution and looking soft, so armor and gear now show crisp detail.
- ImprovedMany more weapons show their magical particle effects on the 3D model — swirling skulls, glowing auras, drifting embers and sparks, not just the Nature Walker's Scimitar's leaves.
- FixedHeld weapons no longer flicker or vanish as you spin the model — parts that used to disappear at certain angles now stay put.
- FixedMulti-part weapons render in full — items like the Water Sprinkler of Nem'Ankh, Spear of Fate, and Innoruuk's Curse used to show only a fragment and now appear complete.
June 29, 2026
Log in with Discord, switch characters right from the planner, and see your gear in 3D.
- ImprovedWorn armor on the 3D model looks truer to the game — scale and Velious sets render with the right material and a proper matte finish instead of a plastic sheen, and some weapons now show their correct model (the Essence Mace appears as a bronze mace).
- ImprovedParticle effects on weapons show on the model too — the Nature Walker's Scimitar's leaves swirl around the blade.
- NewLog in with Discord: link one of your characters and it follows you across devices — just sign in with Discord on another browser or computer. Your anonymous account keeps working exactly as before; this is optional.
- NewA character switcher in the planner toolbar — jump between your saved characters (cloud and browser) without leaving the page.
- ImprovedTidier planner toolbar: saving is now a single Save menu (to the cloud or just in this browser), and your characters have their own page.
- NewA 3D character model on the planner's paper doll: your race and gender rendered as a posed figure you can spin and zoom.
- NewYour worn gear shows on the model — armor with its dye color, helms and ornate crowns, and held weapons and shields.
- ImprovedGlowing held items now glow on the model: magic orbs, eyes, and fist-wraps shimmer and pulse instead of showing as a dull blob.
- NewPlay an animation (idle, melee, cast, emotes), pick a face, and toggle auto-spin right on the model.
- NewThe wishlist is back: keep a list of items you're hunting for — each with a note and priority — and see an upgrade diff plus an "if equipped" stat total versus your current gear. Check off the ones you've acquired to grey them out and drop them from the math.
- ImprovedThe Save button now shows a dot when your character has unsaved changes, and switching between your gear or buff sets no longer falsely warns about losing edits.
June 27, 2026
Plan several builds side by side and compare them stat-for-stat.
- NewMultiple named gear sets per character — switch, add, duplicate, rename, or delete sets, each with its own gear.
- NewCompare view: diff two sets (A/B) or stack many sets in a table against a chosen base set to see exactly which stats change.
- NewFlag individual slotted items as "not yet acquired" per set — the gear-set successor to the old wishlist.
- ImprovedBuffs are now one shared list per character that applies to whichever set is active, instead of being re-entered per set.
- ImprovedThe Planner link resumes your last open build instead of starting blank, and warns before you navigate away from unsaved edits.
- FixedCorrected the mana total for casters at 200 INT/WIS and added the Overwhelming Splendor enchanter self-charisma buff.
June 26, 2026
Save characters to the cloud, share a personal page, and get rich link previews in Discord.
